Creating Music and Building a Legacy

Creating Music and Building a Legacy

KPI Music Group is an independent publishing company, poised to make big moves in 2013.  At the time of this report, they are announcing a new publishing deal with famed singer|songwriter Buffy Lawson, as well as a brand new digital footprint, re-designed from the ground floor.  No matter which team member you speak with, anticipate an infectious passion to showcase the growing family of writers; Kwan, Brooklyn, Bo and Buffy!    Make no mistake; these are not rookie staff lyricists, but seasoned professionals.  Having collectively toured the globe, performed with the likes of Trace Adkins, Neil Diamond, New Edition, Mary J. Blige, Toby Keith and others, the KPI writing team is positioned to make a real impact on the music scene.

Kwan Wilson is currently working on several R&B, TV and Film projects, with his longtime friend and co-producer Chico Bennett.  Brooklyn James is working on her 3rd Novel in the Vigilare series, as well as her new album based on the same.  Bo Allen is currently involved with several TV projects, as well as writing for numerous new and charting artists.   Buffy Lawson is still riding the amazing reviews of her new album, while continuing with her passion for writing hit songs.  “I’m still amazed at the team of people we’ve assembled, and so excited for each one of their projects.  This goes far beyond what I anticipated, and our entire team is committed to the success of each member, and that’s what a real team feels like… family”.   Louis Police | KPI President and CEO

In addition to its stable of writers, KPI is partnering with social media firm FMDLEX:  www.fmdlex.com  and adding key members to the staff.  Katie Feola joined KPI in 2013, and brings nearly 15 years music experience.  Ironically, KPI Music isn’t based in LA, New York or Nashville, but in the thoroughbred capital of the world, Lexington, KY.   Perhaps it’s the bourbon, or even the UK Wildcat fanaticism, but this team isn’t considering a move anytime soon.  “It’s what sets us apart, and makes us unique” said Bo Allen.   Whatever it is, KPI Music Group is positioning itself for long term growth, and if their current momentum is any indication, this reporter has money on a top 10 song before year-end!   If you’d like to keep watching what the KPI team is up to, you can follow them on Twitter, ‘like’ them on Facebook and check out their new website.
